What is an electronic client record?

ECD stands for electronic client record. It is the digital file in which a practice keeps track of what belongs to one client. For a therapist it is the place where appointments, notes and documents come together, instead of being spread over folders, notebooks and mailboxes.

What it contains

Details, notes, appointments, documents and what the client fills in themselves. Which fields you use depends on your discipline and on what you want to record.

A good record does not have the most fields. It lets you quickly find what you are looking for.

Not a separate file

In QiC the record does not sit next to the calendar, but in the same practice environment. An appointment and a questionnaire refer to the same client, so you do not have to keep anything twice.

That is the advantage of an ECD within practice software: you open one client and see the whole picture.

What QiC is and is not

QiC is practice software with a digital client record for psychosocial and naturopathic therapists. It is not intended as a general record for every form of care.

That choice keeps the product clear. You get what suits your discipline.
